BABU PRODUCTS HELP OWNERS RESPOND TO COMMERCIAL PET FOOD RECALL

WASHINGTON - Concerned owners reacting to the alarming recall of wet and dry pet food by preparing special foods for their animals can get help from a Washington-area company that offers products to store and distinguish pet food in the refrigerator and take specially made food along on road trips.

Babu, Inc.'s product line, launched in 2006, includes two types of plastic food storage containers to help owners easily preserve and identify pet meals.

“Babuware,” frosted plastic containers with blue lids carrying a dog, puppy, cat or kitten design, come in sets of three - small, medium and large - and sell for $12.95.  Babu's exclusive “ChillyChow” plastic containers have decorative, non-toxic gel lids that can be frozen and used to keep dog or cat food cold when pets and their families are on the go.

“ChillyChow” containers sell for $8.95 each and come in “Happy Dog Blue,” with the signature Babu dog on the top of the gel lid or “Happy Cat Green” and “Happy Cat Yellow,” carrying the company's signature Babu cat on the top of the gel lid. The ChillyChow containers have a three-cup capacity and are dishwasher safe (top shelf only), freezer safe and certified food safe.

“Babuware” containers are ideal for storing, warming and refrigerating food and treats. The containers are microwave safe, freezer safe, dishwasher safe and certified food safe.
